[The adventure begins]I have always been a Legend of Zelda series fan. I enjoyed the games, cartoons, etc. But last year Zelda fans got a double whammy, not only was the spectacular Ocarina of Time released, but the GameBoy game, Link's Awakening was redone for GameBoy Color. I have been asked before what does "DX" mean? As with all DX GameBoy Color games it is a deluxe version of the original, and Zelda DX holds up to the deluxe title spectacularly.

Zelda DX's graphics are great examples of what the Game Boy Color can do. They compare to the graphics of the previous A Link to the Past for Super Nintendo. The enemies are more graphically "articulate" in Color. The villages of the game are gorgeous with the flow of the colors.

Zelda DX is basically the same game as Link's Awakening but has a few added bonuses. The bonuses themselves increase the replay value. Such as the Photos which you'll end up starting a new game just to look for! Other bonuses include the hidden Color Dungeon where players can search for and then conquer for a hidden bonus. Old items such as the elusive Secret Seashells are probably the best parts of the game. mimicking the Gold Skulltulas of Ocarina of Time.

[Screw you, you crazy talking owl!]Not only do you get Link's Awakening's excellent gameplay, but you get it's captivating music as well. Zelda DX sports probably the best tunes in the Zelda Series. Although, if you listen to the Telephone Booth's music long enough you might get a little naucious.

The game lacks difficulty in the most basic areas. The first few dungeons provide little opposition, but the moment you reach the last four dungeons you might find yourself throwing down your Game Boy in a hideous scream of frustration.

All and all, the game is an excellent achievement from the good people of Nintendo. Link's adventures are always the best and this game definetley holds up the tradition well. I rate the game as Sharp because it features exactly what you want in a nicely packaged form but with a small frustration factor.
