Today, on October the 7th, 2001, the first strike of Operation Enduring Freedom began with a set of explosions over Kabul, Afghanistan.

Europe Rallies Behind US Strikes
In response to the United States/British attacks on Afghanistan, European Powers and Russian reiterated their commitment to the US's cause.

Bin Laden warns the US
A video with Osama Bin Laden warning the US that they would fail in their attacks. He went on to say that the US is gripped by fear "North and South, East to West, and we thank God for that".

[I breaka you face!]Top Story - Shutta You Face
Today, Silvio Berlusconi, the PM of Italy, rescinded his comments that the West is superior to the Arab nations. After saying that the West would "conquer again, like we conquered communism." The comment lead to feirce EU-wide distancing from Italy. Berlusconi has since rescinded his comment, but the political dust has yet to settle.

The FBI released the identities of the 11 Hijackers that killed almost 6,000 people in attacks on New York City and Washington DC.

[Teams are dropped off by Pave-Low Helicopters]US/SAS Special Forces
Already in Afghanistan
An official from the White House who wished to remain anonymous revealed that the United States and Britain have already sent in Special Forces teams in Afghanistan. Those forces have been said to have been there for two weeks. The official noted that the forces were fired upon by some Taliban guerillas, but no one was injured or killed.

It is thought that the British SAS (Special Air Service, the world most elite special forces team) is working in tandem with the US Delta Force team to find and capture Osama Bin Laden. However, the official noted that all the teams have done thus far are infiltration and scouting
