What brought about this special on racism you ask? I was watching Politically Incorrect last night, which was dedicated to racism and a joke Sara Silberman (a very funny Jewish comedienne) made that included the word "chink". So as such, they had the leader of an Asian Median Watching Something or Another (Guy Aoki) on the show and an actress named Anne-Marie Johnson who was the resident African-American. Then there was of course David Spade, who out of fear didn't say a word the entire show.

Everyone on the show were complete hypocrites, and no only that, I thank God they didn't talk about reparations cause I would have thrown something at the TV. These days, people talking about race don't know what they mean anymore. I'm not saying this because I'm white; I'm saying this because every nationality has suffered oppression at one point or another. Sure, the early Americans enslaved the blacks, I understand, that was a horrible inhumane thing to do, but why do you try to punish people over it? What's past is past. Asking for your forty acres and a mule won't fly here, because many people in this country are not descended from slave owners. If reparations ever came out of my taxes, I would storm to Boston City Hall and demand the money my great-grandfather never got because "Irish need not apply".

Nobody alive in this country today owns a slave, or was a slave. The ex-slaves deserved an apology and their forty acres, but now they demand all these benefits because they're the minority. What happens when white people become the minority, does that mean I can get a college scholarship?

The show also spent 10 minutes on racial slurs, which are horrible things, but in some points in history they are justified. Before you activate that pipe bomb, realize that a racial slur is used to give one people power over another. Yes, we called black people the n-word to give us power. The English called the Irish "micks" and they called the English "limeys" in return. How many people do you think called the Germans "krauts" in World War 1 and 2?

Aoki said that because of the word "Jap", the Japanese-Americans were interned. That's not why, hatred for their war of cowardice was and fear of invasion was. The Japanese were called Japs because they did horrible things to use (whether is be Pearl Harbor or Bataan) and the word gave the Americans power. When we get into a war with China, I bet nickels to dimes the word "chink" will be as rampant as "jap" was.

And finally, I want to talk about the whole "-American" thing. Why do we hyphenate ourselves? If a black person is an African-American, then is your common white Joe Schmoe a Caucasian-American. No. You know why? Because we're all Americans and we do not need to divide ourselves. I'm white, he's black, she's Latino, he's Chinese, and she's Indian. No I'm Caucasian-America, he's African-American, she's Latin-American, he's Chinese-American, and she's Hindu-American. It just doesn't work that way.
